Benefits:

1. Do not bundle up with wires!

The first and most obvious advantage of Bluetooth headsets is the lack of wires! When using this type of headset, it is unnecessary to think of techniques to avoid bumps - especially in crowded public transport - such as threading the wires inside the shirt. What's more, you lose the worry of tangling the wires when you keep them in your pocket or leave it near other wired accessories. Although not scientifically proven, we all know that headphone wires magically tangled in other wires.

2. Less worry about bad contact

Since they don't have a cable, Bluetooth headsets are less likely to end up with some kind of bad contact. We say this because if a headset cord is damaged, it is likely to lose sound on one side or even both, depending on where the damage occurred. This does not mean that Bluetooth headsets are immune to this kind of problem. This turns out to be perfect for those who have lost countless headsets because of poor contact on their wires, one of the most common problems with these accessories.

3. No need to carry the device around

Most Bluetooth headsets have a range of around 10 meters. This means you don't have to carry your device in your pocket or sit at your computer desk to listen to your music and podcasts. Just leave the device in a place of the house and walk around the rooms without having to lose sound midway. Unless you live in a mansion.

4. Perfect for exercises

A type of marriage with the first advantage of this list. Because using the Bluetooth headset eliminates the need for wires running through your body, it makes it easy and convenient to exercise while enjoying your favorite tunes without limiting your movements to avoid accidents, for example.

5. Compatibility

If two devices have Bluetooth, they will probably be able to connect even if they cannot share any functions. This means you don't have to stick to the models of a particular brand. That is, there is no problem buying an LG handset and using it on your Samsung smartphone, for example.

Disadvantages

1. It's more expensive

Even though the technology is already quite affordable, Bluetooth headsets are still more expensive than traditional headsets if they are of similar quality. Therefore, it is good to check if the price difference is worth making your purchase.

2. Must charge the battery

The major disadvantage of Bluetooth headsets is that their use eventually ends and their battery needs to be charged. This is usually not a problem, as it lasts around 4 to 8 hours - with more advanced models reaching 20 uninterrupted hours - but it is still good to have a wired headset for any emergencies, such as answering an urgent call in a noisy place.

3. Its lifespan is shorter than standard headphones

Due to additional parts such as the batteries and the Bluetooth receiver, the total lifetime of headphones equipped with the technology is shorter than the wired ones. Even so, it is worth considering that the equipment can last for years if it is of quality and well cared for by the user.

4. Is unsafe

If you use Bluetooth headsets to receive calls, keep in mind that this type of connection is not very secure. While listening to music and podcasts has no harmful effects whatsoever, it is possible for someone to break into your connection and hear your telephone conversation, for example.

5. Drains your device battery

Not only does the headset battery need to be charged, but leaving Bluetooth turned on on a smartphone, tablet or notebook will also drain the battery from these phones simultaneously. You need to be aware of the power level of both handsets before using them, so that you do not end up in a complicated situation and without means of using your phone, for example.
