How to Become a WhatsApp Beta Tester on Android
In addition to the regular WhatsApp application, there is also a beta version that gives its users access to a variety of news and features before the official release. Of course this includes having to deal with some bugs and problems, but it is worth it for the exclusivity. The best part is that it's pretty simple to become a WhatsApp Beta tester if you have an Android device. If you're curious about how this is possible, just check out our tips below:
Installing WhatsApp Beta
To get started, open your preferred browser and make sure you're signed in to your Google account. If so, it must be the same as the one you use on your Android device.
It is also necessary that you already have the normal app installed on your smartphone, which can be achieved through this link.
Now go to this link, which will take you to the official WhatsApp Beta testers page. Click on "Become a tester" as we highlighted in the image below.
You will then see the message “You are a tester” meaning that the process was completed successfully and that you have become an app tester.
The update can be done through the Google Play Store on the WhatsApp page or you can wait a while for the app to automatically update over Wi-Fi or 3G. Once you receive the update, you will have access to all the exclusive news from the beta of the app, which usually takes a while to reach the general public.
It's important to note that sometimes there are no vacancies available for new testers on the WhatsApp page, but they are always making more available over time. You can also leave the beta program at your convenience by simply returning to the testers page.
