How to change iCal Alert Email

For those who use iCal a lot to organize their day to day life, the option to send email alerts for events is a great feature. This allows you to have in your inbox all future event notices. But despite being extremely useful, many Apple users wonder how they can modify / add some email alerts. In fact, this modification is very easy to do, it just requires some knowledge of how to do it. Stay tuned as we will explain step by step how you can do this.

1. Check the email you are currently using

If you have been working with Apple's operating system for some time, you already have some email alerts for iCal, so the first step is to check if you have the email you want. To do this simply create an event and simulate an email alert.

Select the "Warning" option.

Then click on the “Customize” option:

Now make sure this is really the email you want to use:

2. Modified Email

If this is not the correct email or if you simply want to modify it, it is very simple. Just select the "Contacts" app.

And then look for your own contact. You'll see that your contact has an associated email. This same contact is linked to iCal (which is otherwise linked to iCloud) and you can modify it from there!

After the change, go back to iCal and configure if your email has changed;)

So, did it work? If you have any questions just leave a comment below.
