Programming music on iPhone and iPad

To be able to schedule music playback on iPhone and iPad, the first thing you need to do is open the Timer on your device. This can be easily done by dragging the screen from the bottom up and accessing the Timer from the small control panel.

With the Timer open, select the exact time you want your songs to keep playing. If you want them to play for 2 hours, just select this time in the Timer, for example.

Then click “Finish” if you are doing this on iPhone or “Open” if you are using an iPad during the procedure.

This will make several ringing tones appear in a new window. These are ringtones to let you know when the selected Timer time is up, but if you go to the bottom of the list you will see the “Stop Play” option. It is exactly this option that makes music playback stop automatically when the Timer time is up. Click on it to select it.

You can now see that “Stop Play” has been properly chosen on the Timer home screen, and you can click “Start” to begin timing when you are ready.

This will allow you to keep the Timer running in the background to start listening to your music at ease. As soon as the Timer times out, playback will stop automatically and you can sleep without any worries.
