How to transfer photos from iPhone to Mac

It's important to back up your documents and photos regularly. While cloud storage services are one of the safest backup measures, you still need to be connected to the internet to access them. Because of this, it is always recommended to have copies of these photos on a computer. That's why we've put together a few steps to transfer photos from iPhone to Mac as quickly as possible. How to transfer photos from iPhone to Mac

Before you begin the transfer, make sure both your iPhone (or iPad) and your Mac are synced to an iCloud account with the same Apple ID. Enable Photo Stream on both iOS and your macOS. Finally, devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi connection. With iCloud enabled, all photos taken on your iOS device will be uploaded to iCloud and made available on all devices.

However, the folder with photos taken and uploaded to iCloud is not easily accessible on your Mac. Learn how to find the folder in the steps below:

1 - Right click on the Finder and select the Go To Folder option. You can also use the shortcut Cmd + Shift + G ;

2 - Type the address in the bar that will appear: "~ / Library / Application Support / iLifeAssetManagement / assets / sub" and confirm;

3 - You will have accessed a folder called Sub;

4 - Go to File and create a new Smart Folder;

5 - After creating the folder, click on the sub tab and press the "+" button in the right corner of the screen. A new menu will appear. Click on Image ;

6 - Click on Save . Give your preferred name and choose where on the computer the folder will be located. If you leave the Add to Sidebar box checked, the photo folder will be available in the Finder sidebar;
