How to turn off automatic iPhone app updates

For those with many applications installed on the iPhone, the auto update feature can be very useful so that the user does not have to do everything manually. The biggest problem is that it can waste a lot of battery unnecessarily or even your 3G data without warning. To prevent this, you can simply turn off automatic updates whenever you like, and you can reverse the process later. If you want to know how to do this, just check out our tips below!

First of all, it is important to note that the automatic app updates feature was only implemented after iOS 7, so it is good to look for this option or try this process in previous versions of the operating system.

To get started, simply click the “Settings” app on your iPhone to open the device's general settings.

Then you should look for the "iTunes & App Store" tab and click on it.

In this tab you will see a few different options, but what interests us is the "Updates" option. Click the green button next to disable the feature.

This way, your apps will not be updated alone and you can update them manually. Very simple, isn't it ?! This makes it easier to maintain your battery power or save your 3G on a daily basis.

Of course, if you prefer to enable the feature again, simply return to this menu and click the same button.
