How to use two Facebook Messenger accounts on iPhone

Now that Facebook Messenger can be used completely independently of regular Facebook, you can also have multiple in-app accounts. With more than one existing account in the chat app, you can switch between them at any time, for example. To learn how to do this on your iPhone simply, check out our tips below!

Using two Facebook Messenger accounts

To get started, open the Messenger app on your iPhone and select the "Settings" option at the bottom, as highlighted in the following image:

Among the new options that appear, you will see "Switch Account", which is where you must click to continue.

You'll see the account you're currently signed in to with the app and a “+” symbol at the top of the screen. Click on this "+" to proceed.

Now a window asking for your other account information will appear. You will need to enter your existing account email and password.

Of course you will already need to have an existing extra account, as you cannot create one from this menu. Once you sign in with this account in the app, you are automatically signed in to it in the app.

To make things easier, the old account remains saved in this same menu and you can switch between them at any time by entering each password. If you want, you can repeat this same method with other accounts as well, just having to repeat the same procedure we taught above.
