iPhone 6S vs. Galaxy S7

If you have already checked out the Galaxy S7, you may have noticed that the smartphone is all made of glass, something that would surely worry its future users regarding strength and durability. Although the device is waterproof and dustproof, it is easy to imagine that a sudden fall could leave it in a very fragile state.

To get a sense of how much the new Samsung smartphone really can handle, a YouTube channel called EverythingApplePro decided to take a crash test with the S7 Edge model and the iPhone 6S Plus. Thus, in addition to seeing how the device behaves in the most abrupt situations, we can also see how it performs compared to its biggest competitor. Check out the video below:

Surprisingly, both devices can withstand several hand-level drops at various angles without visible damage. It is only when they are knocked down from the head of the test boy that we see the Galaxy S7 Edge having its glass back destroyed. Meanwhile, the iPhone 6S Plus has visible scratches, but nothing too serious, something guaranteed by its reinforced aluminum body.

When dropped from a height of 10 feet, both smartphones suffer screen damage, but again it is the Galaxy S7 that suffers the most. It seems that Apple really struggled to make its device tougher, but until the S7 Edge endured a lot even with a glass body.

Of course, the most damaging drops to the device are very difficult to do in real life, as we often drop smartphones at hand most of the time. Still, it's a good parameter mainly to know what to expect from each other and which one is best for you.
