The Top 14 LG V30 News

Even though the LG G6 is already a good smartphone that is also competitive with its competitors, LG has decided to launch another premium handset this year: the LG V30. The device was rumored for months until it was finally unveiled in August this year and launched just a month later in just a few select countries. With a higher price tag and even better features than the G6, it was clear that it was a rival to the iPhone X and the Galaxy S8. Of course you can learn more about him and check out all his news on our list below!

1. Design

Like most Android smartphones coming out in the second half of 2017, the LG V30 also gives more screen space and eliminates almost all the edges around it.

In this case, it is more similar to Pixel 2 XL, as it still has very thin edges at the top and bottom. There is also no physical button on the front, only on the sides. The rear is very common and has rounded corners, besides having the dual camera and a fingerprint sensor.

2. Display

As we mentioned, the display is the big highlight on the front of the LG V30. Its OLED screen is 6 inches and has a great resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels.

This results in an excellent pixel density of 537 pixels per inch. Basically, it's as good a display as we have on smartphones like the Galaxy S8 or even the iPhone X.

3. Specifications

Its overall measurements are not so different from what we are used to seeing today, even with such a large screen. The LG V30 is 151.7 mm high, 75.4 mm wide, 7.3 mm thick and weighs about 158 grams.

4. Storage

The LG V30 has two internal storage options, one version has 64 GB and the other has no less than 128 GB. The good news is that it even has a microSD card slot of up to 256 GB for those who need to expand the device's memory.

5. Performance

The LG V30 owes nothing in performance when compared to devices like the Galaxy S8, because it has specifications almost identical to it.

Basically, the LG V30 has the Snapdragon 835 chip, an octa-core CPU, the Adreno 540 GPU and no less than 4 GB of RAM.

6. Camera

As we mentioned earlier, the LG V30 has two cameras at the rear, one 16 megapixel and one 13 megapixel. They can be used together to take better quality photos or even to create very unique effects.

Already the front camera has only 5 megapixels, which is a bit strange for a premium device and can upset those who love to take selfies. However, it is worth mentioning that all cameras record Full HD videos, but the rear ones also support 4K resolution, a common configuration today.

7. USB-C input

Like most recently launched devices, LG's new handset should also feature a USB-C slot instead of the micro USB standard used in recent years. This helps in faster data transfer and also makes it easy to connect to any other device with the same input.

8. Battery

While many companies put in smaller batteries to lower production costs, LG has decided to go more carefully with the V30. The device has a battery of 3, 300 mAh capacity, which is enough for it to offer a good duration throughout the day even with the use of heavier apps or games.

For comparison, it is worth mentioning that the Galaxy S8 has a battery of 3, 000 mAh and still has a larger and more demanding screen.

9. Operating System

Like most 2017 releases (except Google's own smartphones), the LG V30 comes with the latest version of Android Nougat installed at the factory.

Considering it's a very recent and powerful device, you can expect it to receive the Android Oreo update sometime next year.

10. Security

Like most LG handsets, the V30 model also has all the current and conventional forms of security to offer its user. You can use passwords, patterns, or your own fingerprint to unlock your smartphone or make purchases and payments.

11. Colors

Like most companies, LG always offers a variety of color options for its most expensive smartphones. Currently it can be found in black, silver, blue and violet, but it is also possible that other options will be launched in the future if there is a good demand.

12. Release

The LG V30 was initially announced in August of this year and had its official launch on 21 September, but exclusively in South Korea. Gradually, it has also been arriving in other countries, but it is certainly taking longer than usual for the LG smartphones.

13. Availability

Considering that the device took almost two months to arrive in the United States, you can understand why there is no news about its launch in Brazil yet. Considering that LG is very popular here and always releases its products in our country, it is probably only a matter of time to see the V30 in stores.

14. Price

Considering this is a premium device with good storage options, it makes sense that its price is $ 800 in the United States, which is very similar to the values of the Galaxy S8, for example.

You can not guess its price in Brazil, but considering that the S8 arrived here for more than 3 thousand reais, it is not surprising if the LG V30 followed the same path.
