Know the differences between Android N and iOS 9
With Android N already being tested by thousands of users before its official release, some people may be unsure about its differences with iOS 9, the latest version of Apple's operating system. 1. Availability
IOS 9 can be downloaded on most iPhone and iPad models (except the very old ones) since late 2015 and has been receiving constant updates that included new features, improved performance and fixed system bugs.
Meanwhile, Android N has been available in its beta phase only for Nexus phones since March this year. As you might expect from a system under development, many aspects need to be improved, but it already has very interesting and different features of Android Marshmallow. The biggest problem is that if Android N follows in the footsteps of its successor, it is likely that few devices will receive its update.
2. Interface
Although it's still a long time before its initial release, Android N already shows interesting differences in its interface when compared to Marshmallow. The notifications area has been completely redone to group notifications of the same app and so the user can view them individually and respond right there if they prefer. There's also night mode and a multi-window feature that many users have been waiting on Android for a long time.
IOS 9 remains very similar to the predecessor versions of the system, but much more refined and feature-rich. This new version brought us 3D Touch to add more functionality to apps and settings, night mode and the possibility of multi-window on more powerful devices.
Of course, Apple is expected to continue to add features and news to iOS 9 by the end of the year, so Android N is likely to make many changes based on feedback from users testing the beta.
3. Voice Assistant
As a voice assistant, we have Google Now on Android N and Siri on iOS 9. Although it has not undergone radical changes, Google Now still shows more satisfactory results than Siri in its usability and direct integration with services. Of google.

In the case of Google Play, we already know that the store tends to be more open and more likely to have suspicious apps, which requires more care from the user himself. Still, the biggest risk is downloading apps outside of Google Play to do a manual install, something that should be avoided whenever possible.
As we have already improved app permissions on Marshmallow, we expect Android N to bring even more security and privacy to its users. Already iOS 9 remains quite safe in its normal state, but suffers from being much more closed and simplistic than Android.
5. Battery
It is difficult to compare the battery of different devices, but in this case you can make a list of what the operating systems offer to improve the autonomy of its charge. On iOS 9, we finally got a battery saver feature, which was already a lag feature compared to Android, but that helps save the charge whenever needed.
Another plus for Apple is that its operating system is specially designed to deliver the best performance possible on the few iPhone and iPad models out there. The problem is that this is not such a complete reality on older devices that end up having problems with newer updates.
Already on Android, we have a very different story. Until Android Lollipop, we had battery saver mode, but Marshmallow brought us the “Twelve” feature, which hibernates apps when the device is not in use, so it can save up to 50% of its battery. If this function was already good, Google was able to fine-tune it very well on Android N, making it work anytime the screen turns off, even if you keep checking the device all the time.
6. Mobile Payments
In case of mobile payments, there is no doubt that Apple is in front of Google. Apple Pay is already being accepted by many banks and merchants around the world, which is much more convenient for their users.
Google has redesigned its mobile payments scheme and renamed it Android Pay, but it is still only accepted in some countries for now, which limits its use dramatically compared to Apple's service. As the system has recently been redone, it is expected to start using the world in some time, but it may still take a few good months.
