How to download Assassin's Creed 3 for free on PC

For most of the year, Ubisoft celebrated the company's 30th anniversary by making several of its popular free games available to fans. Before the celebration was over, the company decided to offer one of its most famous games: Assassin's Creed 3. The title will be available for free download on PCs until January 2017, so there's plenty of time for you to get your copy. If you want to know how to do this, just check out our top tips below!

Downloading Assasins's Creed 3

The game was originally released in 2012 for a variety of platforms and does not require heavy configuration, so most PCs should run it smoothly. To get started, you should go directly to the Ubisoft website via this link.

You'll see some general information about Ubisoft's celebration and Assassin's Creed 3 on the right hand side. Click on “Get the free game now” to continue.

You will then be taken to a more personalized page of the game, with some extra information about it. Click on the box at the top to confirm that you understand that the game has an established age range and click "Get the game now" to proceed.

You will need to login to the Uplay service to continue. If you already have an account, enter your details, but if you need to create a new one, click on “Create a Ubisoft Account” and fill in the required data.

With that done, the game will be yours! Now you just need to download it to your computer. Click on the "Run Uplay for PC and play" option if you already have the Uplay launcher installed on your PC or the "Download it" option if you still need to download the program.

With this software you can manage and play all your Ubisoft games. From there, just enjoy Assassin's Creed at ease.
