How to download Splinter Cell for free on PC

In celebration of its 30 years of existence, game company Ubisoft is offering some of its most classic games completely for free throughout the year. The company is making one free game a month available to its fans, with the July pick being the popular Splinter Cell. The good news is that anyone can download the game on a PC and you can check out how to do it in our tips below!

Downloading Splinter Cell for free

The game was released for various platforms in 2002, but the free version can only be purchased on PC. Fortunately, as it is a bit old, even the most modest computers should run it without any problem.

To get started, you will need to go to the official Ubisoft Club website, which can be accessed via this link. On the homepage you will already see a warning about the free game, so click "Get Free PC Game Now" to continue.

You will be taken to a new page with more information about Splinter Cell and Ubisoft's 30th anniversary celebration. To proceed, check the box that warns you about the game content and "Get the game now" shortly thereafter.

You will now need to log in with your Uplay account, which is a service dedicated to Ubisoft's own games and offers rewards to its players. If you do not have an account yet, simply click on “Create a Uplay Account” and provide the requested data to continue.

With everything ready, you will be logged in and will be taken to a page with confirmation that the game already belongs to you. If you have the Uplay launcher on your PC (it works like Steam), just click "Run Uplay for PC and play", but if you don't already have it, just click "You don't have Uplay. Download It! ”.

The launcher download will begin and you can quickly install it right away. So just open it, login and select Splinter Cell to start playing.

Pretty simple, isn't it? The same procedure can apply to upcoming games that Ubisoft will be releasing in the coming months.
