How to exceed Snapchat text limit on iPhone

Those who use Snapchat extensively should already know that there is a character limit that can be used to write something in their photo and video snaps. For now this limit is only 31 characters, which makes even Twitter posts look long. Fortunately, there is a very simple trick that can be done only on iPhone, but it allows you to type as much as you like on Snapchat. To learn more about the scheme, just check out our tutorial tips below!

Exceeding Snapchat Text Limit

For starters, it is important to note that this has only been working on iPhones and can be fixed in a future update. It's also worth remembering that Snapchat was not designed with a focus on text, so you might expect your Snaps to look a little weird if the message is too big.

If you still want to do this, open the “Notes” app on your iPhone and start writing a new note right there. If so, type the message you want to have in your Snap. The only thing you have to do is not to let the message go to the second line naturally and you have to stop writing before it happens.

By selecting the “Return” button on your smartphone, you will be forced to the next line and will be able to continue writing the message. Do it as much as you like, always breaking the lines like this.

When done, select all the desired text with your fingers and click "Copy" to store the message on the iPhone clipboard.

Then open Snapchat and snap it as usual. When it's time to add text, press your finger under the text box and the "Paste" option will appear. Click it to paste the previously written message.

Now just send your Snapchat to your contacts and check the result with text much larger than limit would normally allow!

Very interesting, right ?! Until the Snapchat folks decide to increase this character limit, it seems like this is the only way to write a little bit more in our snaps.
