How to turn on Windows 10 night mode

The recent Windows 10 update has added several useful features to the Microsoft system, including the long-awaited night mode. This tool has already been added on most smartphones, tablets and other computers, so it was time for Windows to get the same treatment. You can check out how to enable and configure night mode on your PC with our tutorial below, just remember to upgrade your system first!

Enabling Windows Night Mode

First of all, it is important to remember that night mode was only added in the update dubbed “Creator's Update”. So make sure you already have this update or try updating your PC if this is not the case. Otherwise the night option will not be found.

To get started, open the Windows Start menu and click the gear symbol to open your PC settings.

Then you should choose the "System" option.

Now just click the "Night Light" button to activate it.

If you want to configure advanced options, click "Nightlight Settings."

In this new screen you can use the top bar to change the color temperature to your preference. In addition, it is still possible to set the time when night mode will be activated and deactivated automatically.

Pretty simple, isn't it? Best of all, it is much better to use the computer at night without forcing your eyes with a bright screen light.

Other than that, this color temperature change helps even sleep faster after using the PC, which is a lot harder with the normal blue color of the screens. If you prefer, you can also check out our video tutorial below:
