Top 15 Minecraft Codes and Commands

Minecraft is already a game full of interesting features and game modes, but having a little extra help in certain situations can be essential. Fortunately, the game also has a good number of codes and commands that help its players in many ways, either to simplify some mechanics or just to solve a temporary problem. With that, it is very useful to have a list of some of these main codes and commands, something that we put together in detail below!

Using Minecraft Commands

Using Minecraft commands and codes is quite simple to do. You need to press the "/" key to make the dialog box appear at the bottom left of the screen, which is where you will enter all the codes we will present here.

1. Help with commands

Whenever you want some help with the game or some unknown command, you can type / help or / help [command name] and hit Enter. The game will display all the information you have about it.

2. Teleportation

If you are playing with your friends and have gotten lost, you can use the / tp [player name] command to teleport directly to him.

3. Give an item

If you need to give an item from your inventory to another player quickly, you can use the following command: / give [player name] [quantity] [item name]. This command is simpler when you only need to give your friend a single item, but it works with larger quantities as well.

4. Kill

You can use the / kill command to kill your character or name another player on your server to kill his character.

5. Creative Mode

To quickly switch from game mode to creative and have more freedom in your builds (as well as not having to worry about monsters or hunger), you can use the / gamemode creative command.

6. Survival Mode

If you want to change game mode for survival and face more challenges and dangers, you just need to use the / gamemode survival command.

7. Set the time

If you wish, you can also adjust the time of day of the game to your preference. Use the command / time set 0000 and replace the “0000” we used for example: 0 for morning, 6000 for noon, 12000 for sunset and 18000 for night.

8. Current World Code

If you like the current world your character is in, you can use the / seed command to see his code. This way you can annotate and use this code in the game if you want to recreate the world in question at another time.

9. Stop the Time

If you want to time at a specific time, you can use the / gamerule doDaylightCycle false command. To get everything back to normal, just type the gamerule doDaylightCycle true command.

10. Summon

If you want to easily summon an item or creature into your world, enter the code “/ summon [object or creature name].

11. Cannon

If you use the code “Cannon”, a dynamite block will be sent directly to the location you are pointing at with your mouse cursor.

12. Atlantis Mode

To fill your world with water, you can simply enter the / atlantis code. If you do, even the highest mountains will be covered with water.

13. Invulnerable

Imagine finding yourself in a place full of enemies and no way to defend yourself. For starters, you can use the / mobdamage code to be invulnerable to monster attacks.

14. Freeze Enemies

Another good solution is to simply freeze all nearby enemies with the / freeze code.

15. Duplicate Items

If you need to duplicate one of your items, you can use the / duplicate code while holding the object in hand.
