How to change the lead time of YouTube videos

YouTube recently implemented a new feature in its mobile app that makes watching videos on smartphones and tablets even easier. Basically, you can advance or return a portion of a video by tapping the right or left part of the screen, respectively. The function is very interesting and useful, but it is best that you can change the lead time (and return) to whatever you find most appropriate. Check out our tutorial below to learn how to do this!

Changing YouTube Advance Time

First of all, it is also worth mentioning that the default feed and return time on YouTube is 10 seconds. Overall, this is a good range, but may not be ideal for everyone. This is why you can make it shorter or longer.

To get started, open the YouTube app on your smartphone or tablet and click the three vertical dots on the upper right side of the screen.

Then choose the "Settings" option to proceed.

On the next screen, click on the "General" option.

In the next screen, click on “Double tap to search, ” which is the forward and backward feature.

As we mentioned, the default time is 10 seconds, but you have the option to change to 5, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 seconds.

When you have decided, click on the desired option and it will be automatically heightened. Very simple, isn't it ?! The good thing is that you can change it anytime you want.
