Galaxy S8 vs LG G6: Which one has the best camera?

With the arrival of the Galaxy S8 (buy it via this link) in the mobile market, it is only natural that the device will be compared extensively with other Android smartphones of the same level. One of its main competitors is the LG G6 (buy it through this link), which was recently launched in most of the world. One of the aspects that most draw the attention of consumers is the cameras present in these devices, because they are considered some of the best that exist in mobile phones today. To know which one has the best camera, just check the detailed comparison below!

Galaxy S8 vs LG G6

Both Samsung and LG have always been very careful about their main smartphones, which was no different with the launch of the Galaxy S8 and the LG G6. As we mentioned, the camera ends up being a very important aspect for a lot of people when buying a new handset and this definitely applies in this case.

Now that both devices can be purchased and tested, it's easy to see how their cameras fare in everyday situations. Of course, the technical part is worth mentioning as well: While the Galaxy S8 has a 12 megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel front camera, the LG G6 offers a 13 megapixel rear camera (with a wide-angle secondary lens) and a 5 megapixel front end.

In theory, the LG G6 seems to have something better for consumers, at least on the main camera, but does it repeat itself in practice?

To clear this question, the Forbes website has made a pretty interesting comparison of the S8 and G6 cameras to determine which one is best in a variety of situations.

Right from the start, we have an outdoor photo with good daylight in most of the scenery. Above we have the image made with the S8 and below with the LG G6.

In this first demonstration you can already see that LG is ahead, getting better results especially in the darkest places of the photo. Meanwhile, the Galaxy seems to have left these areas slightly blurred.

In the second comparison, we can see the colors and details with this photo of flowers. In this case, the image made with the Galaxy is on the left and the image of LG is on the right.

Both cameras get very vibrant color results, but the LG G6 offers much better detail on the smaller flowers in the image.

Finally, we also have a very important test: photos taken in low light in the environment. In theory, LG would have to do better in this regard too, because it has two lenses.

Above we can see the result of S8 on the left and G6 on the right. Clearly you can see that the Galaxy easily outpaced this comparison, offering more detail, sharpness and putting more light into the image.

If you're curious about the quality of recording on both cameras, just check out the tests done on the video above by the EverythingApplePro YouTube channel. Here you can see that the S8 and LG G6 offer very similar experiences, with Galaxy bringing only more image stabilization than its competitor.
